Hovell Tree to Eastern Hill
Eastern Hill lookout affords glorious views of the mountains and Murray River. Look north-east to the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and the upstream course of the Murray River. To the east is the Kiewa River Valley, Victoria is to the south, Albury and downstream Murray River is to the west.
Adjacent to Eastern Hill is Mungabareena Reserve, a significant cultural reserve for First Nations people and popular recreation spot, on the banks of the Murray River.
Access is from Hovell Tree Park. Follow the signposted Track to East Street, then turn into Eastern Hill Lookout.

Walking notes
From the carpark on Eastern Hill lookout continue walking along the ridgeline to take in the views of Albury and the floodplains of the Murray River. There is a seat at the end of the ridge with spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains in winter.
For an extended walk, continue on to Mungabareena Reserve. Follow the Hume and Hovell track along the ridgeline and down the hill to Mungabareena Road, then turn right and follow the road a short distance to the Reserve.
