The Albury Botanic Gardens are over 145 years old. Inside you will find The Hume Monument. Commemorating Hamilton Hume’s discovery of the Murray River on 16th November 1824. Originally unveiled at the site of the tree carved by Hume, which had been destroyed by fire, the monument was later relocated to the Albury Botanic Gardens.
