Paddy’s River Dam to Charcoal Gap Road

Starting at the secluded campground of Paddy’s River Dam, this hike takes you south to the site of Hussells Mill at Charcoal Gap Road where a water-powered sawmill use to operate on West Burra Creek. Natural highlights through Coffee Pot include brumbies, birds and wildlife.

Walking notes

The Track follows single track through the Coffee Pot area within the Bago State Forest, dropping about 400m of elevation from Paddy’s River Dam to Charcoal Gap Road.

 

How to access the track

Paddy's River Dam // Tumbarumba to Elliott Way, Bago Powerline Road to Ash Creek Road to Bullongra Road to Hardys Road to JDX to Houlihans Track. Or access from Tumbarumba is via Dog Tree Road to Bannons Road to Hardys Road to JDX to Houlihans Track

Charcoal Gap Rd // Tumbarumba to Pound Creek Rd, on to Charcoal Gap Road. Finish at Hussels Mill Site.
