$1.5M for Hume & Hovell track upgrades

The Hume & Hovell Track will be seeing a wide range of improvements after obtaining $1.5 million in funding from the NSW Government.

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckermen and Member for Albury Justin Clancy announced the funding, as part of the NSW Government’s Covid-19 stimulus program which aims to upgrade community infrastructure while supporting jobs and local economies.

The Hume & Hovell Track managers will be releasing more information about specific projects, timeframes and work undertaken as progress is made. The track upgrades will focus on fence crossings, pedestrian bridges, camping huts, trail resurfacing, track markers and signage.

Work also continues in the burnt sections of the track with safety assessments and track clearing underway making solid progress with the high level of damage through this area.
