Hume and Hovell Track Stories

The Hume and Hovell Track team have been working alongside Parklands Albury Wodonga to reinstate QR Codes along the southern end of the track. These QR Codes link to the series of ‘Hume and Hovell Track Stories’ that were originally developed by Parklands Albury Wodonga in 2017.

Long time followers of the Hume and Hovell Track will remember that there were existing QR Codes on the track’s navigational marker posts located from Woomargama through to Albury, but due to some website changes this left the links unable to connect.

The QR Codes have been reprinted and the stories are now being hosted on the Hume & Hovell Track website here: https://www.humeandhovelltrack.com.au/video-stories.
The reprints have now been installed back on the track in various locations and ready to be enjoyed by walkers.

There were 26 stories developed and include interviews from honorary Wiradjuri elders, local historians, generational families, journalists, conservation societies and key representatives from Landcare, RFS, Rangers and National Parks.

The ‘Hume and Hovell Track Stories’ were originally developed from grant funding received by Parklands Albury Wodonga who gratefully acknowledge the support of the NSW Government, through the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and the Heritage Council NSW, to make these Hume and Hovell Track stories.

To listen or view the stores you just have to scan the QR code with a compatible device (phone, tablet) and it will take you to the site.

This work is one of many initiatives that are being undertaken on the Hume & Hovell Track to create a safer track and enhanced user experience, to last for many years to come!
